ACA Football Partners Pte. Ltd. (Singapore, CEO: Hiroyuki Ono, hereinafter ACAFP) is excited to announce its participation in the “Sports Wellness Urban Revitalization Consortium” to be jointly established by the companies and organizations led by Tsukuba University.

ACAFP has been at the forefront of the development of multi-club ownership (MCO) in Europe through its ownership in group football clubs in Belgium, Spain, and England. While MCOs, which aim for sound management and sharing of know-how by owning multiple clubs, have become popular, we have also promoted transfers and academy projects with a view to developing players in Southeast Asian countries such as Indonesia, Vietnam, and Singapore, taking advantage of our roots with Asia. In the process, we have realized that themes such as “education” and “solving social issues” are becoming more and more impactful in the field of sports in Japan and abroad, and decided to join this consortium. CEO Hiroyuki Ono has also been appointed as a member of the Executive Committee of the Consortium.

Comment from Hiroyuki Ono, CEO of ACAFP and Vice Chairman, Board of Director, KMSK Deinze

“I am very honored to be working with the University of Tsukuba, which is one of the few professional universities in Japan that conducts research and education in the field of sports business as an academic discipline. After two years of managing professional clubs overseas as an owner and running global operations, I strongly feel that sustainable management and the human resource development that shapes it is an area that must be addressed when considering the development of the sports industry in the future. I hope that by generously sharing the knowledge we have gained from what we have faced, new connections and the seeds of the next generation will emerge.”
